You wouldn’t think that in the early days of mobile Internet, you have large brick like objects like the  Nokia Communicator.

Then as time progressed and Britain welcomed the Psion devices we saw a glimpse of what might be the future of the Internet – if only it wasn’t black-and-white!

Then there was, and apparently still is WAP where the dot com bubble was still expanding fast. These devices required a remarkable eyesight and a devout amount of patience.

Nokia and Ericsson were the world champions of mobile devices. A small Canadian firm called Research In Motion (RIM) launched what they hoped would be the answer for business and called it the Blackberry

Microsoft entered the game with Windows and gave it different names before deciding on, ‘Mobile’.

As the field became larger Psion reinvented it’s successful operating system into Symbian, which became the preferred mobile platform. Sony teamed with Ericsson and Korea had yet to dip it’s toes in the water. The PalmPilot dismissed fully mobile communications for a while too long, now they are left playing catch-up.

Time moves on, bypasses the Newton then the iPhone lands.

This is not just a phone, it really is a proper device. It’s smooth and intuitive, simple to use and has bags of style. It is really poor at texting and taking pictures!

With Nokia retaining an early lead and now having complete ownership of Symbian, the Apple iPhone is the only serious challenger to their hardware.

If you’ve texted into a television programme to vote, or you’ve donated to charity by mobile, you’ve already experienced the first taster of what is coming your way. It will allow you to reach those who previously had been inhabiting a place away from the Internet – real life!

Fortunes are made (and lost) in a bad economy.  Of course, they can also be made and lost in a good economy.  I hear from families who are struggling every day who blame the economy.  I however tend to see so many opportunities every day, it is sometimes overwhelming.  I love small business, but Christine will only let me have one.

The opportunities to make money, and even a fortune, are everywhere.  Be honest with yourself and read this line:

What did you see when your mind read this series of letters.  The bible says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45).  Let me break it down another way for you to see if your mind sees the same thing.

I AM NOW HERE

Is that what you saw the first time?  If not, your mind probably is not open to new opportunities and you have to think a different way.  You can turn a great investment today into a million dollars or more in the future, but you have to seize the opportunity.

You can also start a business that could become a multi-million dollar company in less than a year.  If you listen to family and close friends they will likely try to keep you back from reaching your dreams.  That is the case of a new friend and client of mine who is starting down the path towards her dream of owning a thrift store.  Even her CPA tells her that in this slow economy it would be a bad time to start a business!

This CPA does not seem like someone I want in my corner.  Look for the opportunities in your life, because they are literally everywhere!

Men and women who rise to the top and stay there have a different thought process than everyone else. Instead of envying their wealth it is time we embrace the thinking that has gotten them where they are today.

HOW DO THEY THINK DIFFERENTLY?

There are many ways that the millionaire mind is different from the average persons. It is through this thought process that true greatness is achieved. For starters, quitting or complete failures are simply not options they entertain.

Ask any millionaire what they would do should they go bankrupt, most will tell you it does not matter because they will be right back on top in no time at all. In fact, most if not, all millionaires have filed bankruptcy at least once in their adult lives.

When the average person goes bankrupt it looks and feels like the end of the world. This comes from another common thought process of the millionaire mind, thinking big. Recently well known developer and definite millionaire, Donald Trump wrote a book about this very thing.

The wealthy think big, bigger even than their own finances. On the flip side, poor people think very small and see their problems as insurmountable or success as something to difficult to achieve. Wealthy people are committed to success, they do not just dream about it.

These are just a few of the hundreds possibly thousands of thoughts and processes of the millionaire mind. However, thoughts are the beginning of prosperity and success. These thoughts are useless without action based on that thought. Knowledge is not power, it is potential power. To unlock that power you must take the knowledge or thoughts and do something useful.

WHAT MILLIONAIRES DO DIFFERENTLY?

With the secrets in their mind millionaires do extraordinary things. They have realized the second half of the equation and are constantly busy. One of the things that millionaires do that you may find surprising is give, it is estimated that nearly every millionaire gives at least ten percent of their earnings to charity. This habit may be called many things, tithe, tax deduction, or something else but it is born from the thought that there is enough to go around and that by giving, they will receive.

They also operate from a principle that says they are worthy to receive. Millionaires are not afraid to promote themselves, their product, or service. In other words, they know their value and are not afraid to ask for it. Other people look at sales and promotion in a negative way.
Finally, millionaires are experts at managing their money well. If they do not have an innate knack for it, they will hire someone who does. This comes from knowing that they can make their money work for them and having a focused eye on their net worth. Millionaire minds leave little to chance when it comes to their financial well-being.

It’s amazing to think that some people think that learning stops when they leave school. It’s a real shame, but some of what they taught you in school is just plain wrong!

Look at this list:

• Smoking – once recommended by doctors, now banned for health reasons
