Give Away events were new territory not too long ago. Only a few were doing them. The cost of entry was prohibitively high and that tended to weed out the “junk” events.
Now virtually anybody with hosting can run an event and just about anyone can join one. This has spawned a swarm of “me-too” events, each one so like the next nobody can tell the difference, making it next to impossible to bring in contributors with fresh new products (not the “same old tired give away PLR stuff”).
New members get overwhelmed and more importantly, all events lose any appeal they might have had to potential buyers – all they see are the same products and sales pitches over and over. Too many GiveAways have had the effect of contributors and organizers dropping standards on the gifts offered.
